Duxseal All-purpose Sealing & Caulking Compound O Rings, Gaskets and Oil Seals | Interseals Guernsey

JM Clipper (now Parker) Duxseal is the unequalled, multipurpose sealing and caulking compound with excellent adhesion and high shape retention..

Characteristics
Duxseal is widely used throughout industry in a virtually unlimited number of applications because of its unique properties.
Duxseal has a heavy, putty-like consistency (thumb grade. It is compounded with a non-asbestos inert fibre and non-drying oil base, and handles like putty.
Duxseal adheres to most clean surfaces. It is insoluble in water and unaffected by moisture, ordinary gases and condensates. Seals out dust, dirt, water, acids, fumes and gases. It never hurts or stains hands.
Duxseal is re-useable. It is easily removed and reapplied whenever necessary. Both application and removal are done by hand..no heat necessary.
Duxseal has excellent shape retention. It is easily formed to fit any application and holds that form.

Flammability
The unique formulation of Duxseal overcomes the problem of flammability in a non-hardening putty. The premium waxes and oils used in Duxseal keep it soft and pliable (even in the presence of air) and yet Duxseal dos not support flame.

Application
Although Duxseal was originally developed for use by electric power and telephone companies to seal openings in ducts carrying conductors, Duxseal also has become and indispensable item for plumbers, steamfitters, air conditioning mechanics, maintenance engineers, general mechanics and general handymen.

Because of its almost unlimited versatility, Duxseal is used by trades to seal:
Against gas leakage. Duxseal helps prevent gas leakage and infiltration from leaky gas mains and other underground sources, when used around cable openings at the base of fire boxes, traffic lights, street lights and similar utility fixtures.
Battery Terminals. Duxseal covers and surrounds battery terminals to protect against over-flow and fumes. Duxseal battery terminal 'caps' hold their shape and are easily removed and reapplied. (Duxseal is not recommended as an electrical insulation)
Steel Window Frames Also, ventilator shafts, duct openings and other such applications in various types of factories and industrial buildings. Duxseal can be stuffed in place as easily as putty.
Around Plumbing Fixtures
Highly recommended around riser pipes, wall nipples, waste pipe holes and other interior and exterior locations where its dark colour is not objectionable.
Reflector lenses. Holds and helps to seal recessed airport floodlights and similar equipment
Vibrating Metalwork
Dampens vibration between grill and duct work.
Duxseal is also used extensively to seal:
Cracks in brick and concrete work
Potheads, bushings and terminal boxes.
Leaky seams in hot air and air conditioning ducts
Steel piping to provide corrosion protection where concrete slab cracks and needs reinforcing.
Around steel conduits where they enter exposed junction box.
