Prikka-Strip is a triple row of pointed cones, moulded from polypropylene with excellent UV weathering resistance. The points are staggered for maximum effect.
Each strip is 500mm long, 45mm wide and 15mm high which delivers maximum deterrent but minimum harm.
The unique double-hinge design allows it to be formed neatly on fence tops, pipes and other irregular surfaces.
Caution, Sharp Points
Use great care when unpacking, fitting or cleaning this product.
Keep and fit away from reach of children
If the points are too sharp for your intended use, simply blunt them using a rasp/file or a coarse abrasive sanding sheet
Customers must satisfy themselves that no harm will be caused by this product and should take steps to display warning notices as appropriate.

Screwing/nailing
Prikka-Strip can be screwed or nailed (rustproof) using the holes
provided (more holes can be drilled if needed) Trimming
Trim to size using a suitable saw. Curves and bends can be formed by
immersing in very hot water. Prikka-Strip can also be easily cut to a
double or single row strip using the hinge grooves as a guide
Gluing* (see below)
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust.
*Many glues and adhesives will not adhere to polypropylene - screwing or
nailing is recommended (external quality butyl and solvent-based
sealants/adhesives perform reasonably well). Silicone, bitumen, acrylic
and water-soluble (nail adhesives are not recommended). The base of
Prikka-Strip should be scored or roughened with an abrasive to provide a
key for the adhesive.

To install, simply squeeze a 6-12mm bead of exterior
quality silicone
sealant/adhesive onto the clean, dry ledge where you are placing the
row of BirdBan spikes, then press the spikes firmly into place.
Each row of BirdBan spikes offers protection of up to 210mm (8½ inches).
For wider applications, follow the guide below:
For heavy pressure areas, BirdBan spikes should be installed so that the
outer-most spikes overlap the ledge, pipe or window sill by 6-12mm (1/4
- 1/2 inch)
The gap between the wall or window and the back spikes should be no more
than 50-65mm (2 - 2.1/2 inches)
If the gap between the wall and the spike is greater than 50-65mm (2 -
2.1/2 inches), then BirdBan spikes can easily be adapted to fit any
width by simply snapping off the front and/or rear spikes.
By removing the spikes, BirdBan can be easily adapted to fit neatly onto
narrow pipes and ledges.
On really wide ledges, the number of rows of BirdBan spikes are simply
increased to fit the gaps.
